Nneka and Calvin’s very first home together, purchased only 6 months after learning that Calvin was able to use the VA loan. The home on Gerard Way was a 2 bedroom, with the second bedroom rented out to a student in order to save money. Next, the Jenkins had to stretch financially, but managed to rent a 4-bedroom home in Fremont and rented 2-3 of the rooms to save more money, all with the goal to one day own their own home.
